The Latin American Association of Insurance Agencies was founded in Miami in 1969 to unite and serve as a voice for independent insurance agents.

Today, it is a strong network comprised of members of various backgrounds and different roles in the industry, including agents, insurance firms and other companies.

The LAAIA strives for an insurance environment that is healthy for agents and fair for consumers by working on the following areas:

Legislative

Tracking pertinent legislative issues and taking action for members through lobbying.

Education

Providing members with insurance training and required continuous education seminars, all approved by the Department of Insurance.

Communication

Bringing top expert and industry leaders to speak on insurance issues on every monthly member meeting. Providing informative quarterly newsletter and monthly website newsletter on the latest insurance trend to the membership.

Community Support

The LAAIA is a volunteer Organization administered by an 11-member board of directors that meets monthly.
