The Professional in Insurance Account Management (PIAM), is a seven-module practical Designation Program and/or Intermediate level Property & Casualty continuing education class (7 hour CE credit each of them). The program is designed to advance the level of knowledge of all agency and company staff. The program provides practical training, underwriting to increase technical skills, and it also covers Errors & Omissions prevention. This designation is sponsored by the Latin American Association of Insurance Agents in South Florida, through Central Insurance School.

During this program, participants are encouraged to focus on internal and external factors affecting the development of effective business development plans.

Factors discussed include a review of the state of the insurance marketplace; analysis of competitive pressures; necessary insurance carrier underwriting criteria; and consumer expectations and understanding.

Throughout each section of the workshop material, tips for preventing Errors & Omissions are highlighted and discussed.

This program will help the customer and adjuster understand what agents do to assist their clients to understand the eligibility process and coverages via sources of E&O claims; agency systems; discusses/reviews the agency procedures manual, standard workflow models, completing ACORD forms; E&O policy; FLDFS unlicensed entities.

This class will provide Florida agents and adjusters information on errors & omissions regarding sources of their claims, agency systems & procedures manual, standard workflow models, completing ACORD forms (including audits & claims processing), time management (intro, learning objectives, & techniques), and unlicensed entities

This course will qualify you to take the state
2-20 exam, along with a one (1) year appointment with an active 4-40 or 4-42.

20-44 exam, along with Six (6)months of documented responsible insurance duties as a licensed and appointed customer representative, or limited customer representative.

This program focuses on fulfilling the implied promises contained in the insuring agreement. Students will review methods of providing evidence of insurance coverage; will discuss policies and procedures for controlling errors and omissions including policy review and delivery, endorsements, claims-processing, and handling of client complaints.

This course includes a review of Professional Expectations; the Law of Agency; and Legal and Ethical Standards.

Four (4) Intermediate level CE credits for the 2-20 Agents/ Property & Casualty/4-40 licenses for Personal Lines. Florida No-Fault Law, Who must comply, court cases regarding interpretations of the No-Fault Law – eligibility under PAP for your coverage auto; liability; who is an insured? public or livery excluded; out of state coverage; medical payments; uninsured motorist; damage to your covered auto.

FL statue 626.2815 states any person who holds a license to solicit or sell LIFE insurance in this state (FL) must complete a minimum of 3 hours in CE, approved by the FLDFS on the subject of suitability in annuity and life insurance transactions. A licensee may use the hours obtained under this program to satisfy the requirement for CE in Ethics (9908).
